We care about the environment

At Eclipse Motor Transport we believe we have a social and moral responsibility to minimise our impact on the environment as a business, through smart working practices and progressive updates to our fleet we continuously strive to reduce our impact on the environment.

We are continuously looking for ways to progressively improve our working practices and fleet of vehicles ensuring, where possible, the right vehicle is being deployed for the right job.

Eclipse works hard to comply with the latest European and LEZ (Low Emission Zone) emission standards and the ULEZ (Ultra Low Emission Zone) requirements. As a standard we keep our vehicles maintained to the highest level by manufacturers’ dealerships - this ensures that they are running at maximum efficiency and minimises environmental impact.

Further investments are made into our drivers with fuel efficiency training to SAFED (Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving) provided as standard. Along with smart working practices like vehicles returning with full loads - to reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions - are made as part of day to day procedures.

All our oil is recycled after use and we look to do the same with any other bi-products of our fleet. Our vehicles are cleaned with eco-friendly, solvent-free, biodegradable products ensuring harmful chemicals are kept out of the water cycle.

We apply these same standards and eco-friendly cleaning practices in our offices as well as ensuring that all paper stock is recycled as we transition to a paper free office environment. We also have taken steps to ensure the energy efficiency of our workplace with low energy LED lights used throughout.

We are committed to continuing taking measures to safeguard the environment for the next generation. As vehicle technology moves forward and becomes practical within the haulage industry we anticipate bold changes with electrification of the fleet as we move to phase out our reliance on fossil fuels.
